Small and plump, this little bird is the most common breeding bird in the UK. It is characterised by its tiny stature (only up to 10cm in length), short erect tail and surprisingly powerful song for its size.

Diet: Insects, spiders

Origin: Native

UK conservation status: Green

IUCN conservation status: Least Concern
