Silwood Park

Imperial College London's Silwood Park campus is based near Sunninghill, Berkshire.

It is home to a small community of postgraduate students.

Comprised of 100 hectares of rural parkland, the estate supports many species of birds, many of which are endemic to the UK.

This website is an attempt to catalogue all the birds which I have personally seen or heard in Silwood Park.

It comprises of 29 species in total, ranging from the tiny wren to the mighty red kite.

The great avian diversity could be in part down to the heterogeneous landscape, with woodland, open grassland, and ponds - as well as students putting out bird feeders to attract even more.
