The woodpigeon is known for its purple, white and blue-green neck, pink breast and black tailfeather tips. It is a common sight throught the grounds of Silwood, being adaptable and bold. It can also be identified by its classic cooing call.

Diet: Seeds, leaves, grains, fruit, peas and root crops

Origin: Native

UK conservation status: Green

IUCN conservation status: Least Concern
