The grey heron is unmistakably tall with a long neck and orange beak. Its flight is distinctive, with its great wingspan, slow flapping and long legs stretched out behind. Its presence at Silwood is thought to be solely due to the proximity of Virginia Water, where it most likely gets its food from.
