Males are defined by their bright orange-yellow beak and eye-ring.

Females have a dark brown body, darker than the thrush and with streaks rather than spots on the breast.

Diet: Insects, worms, fruit, berries

Origin: Native

UK conservation status: Green

IUCN conservation status: Least Concern
